In the proposed project the aim was to develop a novel and simple method for cost effective production of lobster juveniles and to suggest guidelines for regional lobster restocking an active collaboration and knowledge/technology transfer between research and training institutions in the regions involved in AquaReg. The results will be important for all three regions, as a means for re-establishing severely reduced lobster stocks and potentially for future development of regionally managed lobster industries. The initial proposed project was extended for one year. The purpose of this extension is to evaluate locations and the timing of lobster releases in order to obtain maximum beneficial affect. This work will also involve further refinement of production of larvae and juveniles and examination of the adaptability of the lobsters to the life in the sea. Incorporating studies on tagging, transportation and releases of juveniles
