The Atlantic bluefin tuna Thunnus thynnus (L.) (ABFT) is a promising candidate for domestication. Knowledge of its reproductive biology is a necessary step in order to establish a self-sustained aquaculture industry for this species. In the present study, the effects of rearing in captivity on ABFT vitellogenesis were investigated.
